My name is Rose Browne and I've been involved with training dogs since 1995. I formerly trained and was certified in another training method until I discovered the science and the world of operant conditioning a.k.a 'Clicker Training'.
The science behind the training enabled me to have a better understanding of animal behavior and I learned to train with my brain and not use pain!!

I learned how to work with animals (I trained a turtle and chickens as part of my KPA training) and to look for ways to reinforce positive behavior instead of 'correcting' negative behavior. My research and studies led me to the Karen Pryor Academy for Dog Trainers where I was accepted into their program in the summer of 2011 and began their intensive training program.

I graduated with distinction (98% Average) from the Academy in April of 2012 and earned the title "Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner" (KPCTP).
I'm proud to say that I'm the first KPCTP in Newfoundland and I'm looking forward to educating and coaching people on how to build a trusting relationship with their dogs based on positive reinforcement and without the use of force.
