Hi-Flyers Agility Training promotes the sport of dog agility by offering agility instruction, as well as organizing fun matches, sanctioned agility trials, and other related events. HF provides a safe and fun environment for both the competitive and non-competitive student and dog to learn and practice the sport of dog agility. HF instructors use only positive training methods that promote success, thus building confidence in both dogs and handlers.

Iris Shrimpton and Janet Ingersoll started Hi-Flyers Agility Training in Feb 1997 and since that time Hi-Flyers instructors have trained over 1000 dogs and owners. We use positive methods and encourage the use of toys, food, praise, and play. We stress fun and safety for both handler and dog.

Hi-Flyers offers a range of classes – from beginner classes to advanced handling and competition classes. At Hi-Flyers the class size is limited to six students to one instructor. The small class size allows the instructors to tailor the classes to meet the individual needs of both dog and handler.

Hi-Flyers instructors are all actively competing in Agility – at all levels and with a variety of dogs. They are also continually upgrading their knowledge and skills by attending seminars and keeping in touch with other training resources both locally and outside of Winnipeg. We believe that participating in Agility competitions and attending seminars helps the instructors to keep current with various handling challenges and methods. Every Hi-Flyers student – whether taking classes for “Competition or Just for Fun!” – benefits from the knowledge and experience of our instructors.
