Welcome to Clarksville K9 where it is our mission to provide you with a well-mannered and well-trained, happy family pet. We offer individualized dog training with a balanced approach in the Clarksville, TN area. All of our training is guaranteed for the life of your pet so if you ever feel as though there is a regression or confusion we will come out for a follow up lesson at no cost to you. We want to assist in helping take the stress out of your day by taking your beloved pet and returning them with new found skills and cooperation in the home. With our all-breed training program our Board-and-Train package is our specialty. We also offer private lessons in your home or at our facility in Woodlawn. Upon completion, your dog will follow given commands, walk on a leash without pulling, come when called, and greet people properly. The training methods we use have been proven on thousands of dogs by many different respected trainers. These methods are safe and reliable, and used by world-renowned canine trainers. As a family owned training center our certified trainer and owner is committed to giving you and your pet a way to better communicate. Upon completion there will be a thirty minute to one hour lesson at pickup to go over everything your pet has learned. Your Board-and-Train package will also come with a link to a personal video of YOUR dog before and after his stay at our program. This video will also demonstrate your dog preforming everything he or she learned during their stay. It will be available to you 24/7 so you can refresh your memory as we know it can be overwhelming when picking up your furry family member. With no training issues too big or too small, we are always here to help assist you and your family with any questions you may have. We also offer discounted boarding rates to previously trained dogs. So if you are going out of town, take advantage of this discount as we will also give your dog a “refreshers course” during their stay. Clarksville K9 was founded in 2017 to help bring more training options to the Clarksville area. Our owner and head trainer Katrina Goodale has been working with animals for over 15 years. She started with horses as a young girl where she worked long hours at different equestrian facilities to learn the ins and outs of horse training. After graduating high school, she apprenticed under highly regarded working dog trainer Ted Vande Woude. During her time working under Ted, she developed a passion for dog training. She spent many hours at the kennel helping work with both pet and working dogs. She met her now husband and Co-Owner, Tim Goodale, and moved to be with him in Fayetteville, NC. After spending some working in another field she felt herself longing to work with dogs again. She found Tarheel Canine Training, Inc. in Sanford, NC, and attended the trainers school where she learned different techniques for training both pet and working dogs. After her schooling she was offered an internship at Tarheel. After completing the internship she was offered a position at Tarheel as a working dog trainer. Working with a fabulous team of trainers under the direction of world renowned trainer and owner of Tarheel, Jerry Bradshaw, she continued to develop her training skills. Unfortunately her husband had orders to move to Fort Campbell, KY. As disappointed as she was to leave Tarheel she was excited and looking forward to new adventures in Tennessee. After arriving in Tennessee, she spent some time working at Animal House Veterinary Clinic. Although she missed training she was excited to learn new skills in the pet industry. In March 2017 Katrina and Tim started a family with the birth of their daughter, Lily. After some time off to rest and recuperate, they both decided that moving back into training was the right decision for their family. With this decision Clarksville K9 is happy to announce they are offering training in the Clarksville area.
