(For the Love of Paws Pet Service) is a unique Edmonton dog walking company that is diligent in practicing safety with your dog. We do our best to create a safe environment for your pet on our walks, by eliminating situations that might trigger problems between dogs. We keep dogs separate from each other while in transit and walk dogs in small groups to assure every dog receives the attention they deserve. Our Dog Walker has worked as a Bather at Hollywoof Grooming Parlor (www.hollywoofgroomingparlor.com), has a CPDT-KA (ccpdt.org), ABCDT (www.animalbehaviourcollege.ca), Pet First Aid and CPR Certified, Security Cleared and a Dog Rescue Volunteer at P.A.W.S. for Life Foundation (www.paws-rescue.com). ABOUT OWNER OPERATOR
Working with dogs and their people gives me great happiness. My goal is to give back the joy that dogs give me by fulfilling their physical, psychological and emotional needs and to be the best dog care provider I can be. I keep my skills sharp staying abreast of the latest in dog training by studying leaders in the dog training world. I have enjoyed rescuing several different delightful dogs of various breeds each with their own personality traits. Each dog has challenged me to understand dog behaviour, learn new training methods by taking Puppy, Basic Level 1, Manners Unleashed, Trick, Growl for Reactive and Fearful Dogs, Scent Detections and Agility training class to better my leadership skills and communicate by using body language. My dog Bear started out as a dog that was reactive to people and I'm proud to say that he has passed his Canine Good Neighbour CKC test! I'm a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPTD-KA) which is the highest level of recognition in dog training. This certification is given by the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and has world wide recognition. This means I have completed many hours as an instructor, volunteered training dogs and passed a rigorous dog training exam. In order to keep this designation I must attend continuing education courses taught by leaders in the field. I have chosen to pursue the CPTD-KA designation because of it’s code of ethics, scientifically proven dog training techniques and level of professionalism that comes with continuing my education, keeping my skills cutting edge.
