Welcome to Happy Tails Training, we offer dog training both 1-2-1 and group classes. We also offer a dog walking / pet visiting service

Happy Tails Training is a Dog Training business providing 1-2-1 Dog Training, Dog Training Classes, and Behaviour Consultations. We also offer a Dog Walking service where we pick-up your dog up from home for a walk when you aren't able to - for example, whilst you are out at work or if you are not well enough.

We also offer home visits for other small animals such as cats or caged animals where we will feed and/or clean as required.

Happy Tails is based in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales and is owned by Nicky Evans. Nicky previously owned and ran The Dog House which was a Home Boarding, Grooming and Training business. Following a change of location in 2016 to a new home in Penydarren we no longer offer a home boarding service and felt that this was a good opportunity to also re-brand the business to highlight the change of focus to Dog Training and home visits; and so the Happy Tails story begins.

Nicky is qualified as a "Master Dog Trainer" with the Guild of Dog Trainers and is currently studying for a degree in Canine Behaviour and Psychology (BA) with the CIDBT (Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training) and has already completed modules in Basic Dog Handling & Training Skills (providing the knowledge/experience to train dogs in a basic obedience level of training), Professional Instructor Skills & Management (providing the knowledge/experience required to train owners in how to train their dogs), Understanding Canine Care & Behaviour, Common Canine Behaviour Problems (which further increases the range of problem areas that Nicky is able to help you deal with to get the most of your life with your dogs) and Advanced Dog On Dog Aggression (providing training strategies for eliminating dog on dog aggression in a domestic situation).

Nicky also has a diploma (with distinction) in Canine Health & Nutrition with The British College of Canine Studies and is currently working towards her Kennel Club accreditation.
