Arrow & Grace

Arrow is one of 7 puppies born to PADS Samba on July 9th 2015. He was being raised to change lives as an assistance dog with Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS). In July 2017, Arrow let us know he'd rather live life as a pet, so here we are!!

PADS’ Mission is to breed, raise, train and place Assistance Dogs for persons with a physical disability or who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and to support these client/dog teams for the working life of the PADS’ Assistance Dog.

Sometimes puppies-in-training choose a life of leisure as a pet rather than a career as a service dog. That's what Arrow has chosen!

Arrow was a PADS puppy who was in training to become a service dog. He loves to work and he's a smartie-pants, but he did eventually decide that he'd rather be a pet than a working dog... so he was released from the advanced training program to be lovingly welcomed home by Kelsey, who had raised him from 2 months of age to a year and a half... and he is loving his new life of leisure with Kelsey, her wife Chris, and their other pet pup, Grace, a gorgeous boxer mix. Grace really enjoyed being an only furchild before Arrow's homecoming, so she's adjusting to life with her new brother :)
