BYR is focused on building a complete retriever from the ground up. We provide a sound foundation of obedience, socialization and a drive building training program that will produce hard running, desire driven retrievers. We play on their natural abilities and instinct to bring out these qualities and to make for a happy well rounded hunting partner. Upon your retrievers completion of any program you will learn how to handle your new retriever to its full potential. We want your new partnership to be a success and we offer training help throughout the life of your retriever. We offer, Obedience Training, Started through Advanced Finished Retriever and Gun Dog Training. In addition, we offer, Started, Seasoned and Finished Gun Dogs for sale when available. BYR is NOT a boarding facility, our focus ins on training each retriever to its full potential, not only in the hunting field, but as an obedient, loving member of you family as well. Our retrievers are not only capable hunters, but we also; participate in Hunting Retriever Club (HRC) and AKC Hunt Tests. The Spring of 20123 Hunt Test Season we had a 90% pass rate. We have run and titled retrievers in ALL levels of Hunt Tests from Started/Junior to Finished/Master Hunter levels. We have also, participated in the HRC International Grand. We are members of the national Hunting Retriever Club, Bay Area HRC (Alabama,) and our home club Amite River HRC in Baton Rouge, LA. Lastly, We socialize every dog with all members of our family during their training with us. Being a small, family owned kennel we are capable of interacting with your retriever as if it were our own while they are training with us.
