John Ratchford is a successful Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Consultant. He is confident that most dogs can be trained to become a human's ideal companion, if the humans are able follow consistently. Most canine behavior problems are addressable.

John is currently taking cases on Vancouver Island. We will travel past Victoria as the need arises. John will not sell, loan, or barter any of your personal information without express written permission to do so. Evaluations are $40 until otherwise noted. There is almost no dog that cannot be helped.

John will meet up with and evaluate you and your dog in their own environment, and possibly out on a walk watching you with your dog, and various other activities to determine its needs. He will then give you a recommendation, and if needed, have some one-on-one with your dog. Then, he will tell you what needs to happen, and either schedule a follow-up, or be on his merry way! All we ask is to sign our disclaimer, and to please write him a positive review. For previews of this disclaimer, please message one of the admins.

He also will travel! We will come as far up the island as requested! There may be a small distance fee. Until otherwise noted, all dog evaluations are $40! We are also the most cost effective trainer in Victoria! Some trainers charge hourly - we do not. We will stay as long as you need us to - and if we weren't finished, we will reschedule free of charge.

If you require more than one or two weeks of overnight babysitting, please consider a kennel.

CANCELLATION POLICY


If you have booked an appointment, we can always reschedule, but we do require 24 hour cancellation notice, subject to a $20 fee. If it is an emergency, please let us know when you contact us to reschedule. If you forget your appointment for any reason and wish to reschedule, the $20 fee is applicable. If you cannot attend your meeting and do not contact within 24 hours of your appointed time, the $20 fee is applicable. If you leave a message on our answering machine or text message or email before 24 hours and we do not receive it immediately, you DO NOT have to pay the fee. If you contact us via phone call a few minutes after your appointed time the day prior, we can be flexible and not charge the fee, excepting within an hour. If you have booked an appointment, you are still liable for the fees of the agreed upon appointment. Permanent cancellation fees are $20, or the applicable appointment fee. Rebooking outside of a 24 hour buffer is free!
