Barkyard University "BYU"

BarkYard University
Our facility has over 3200 square feet for dog daycare, training, spa & grooming services.

Welcome, dog parents and fellow doggies! We are excited to tell you about our new facility of over 3200 square feet of dog-gone fun, now open in Paradise! Barkyard University (BYU), is an indoor, kennel-free doggy daycare, doggy spa, and positive reinforcement training center.

We have separate areas fenced off for puppies, seniors, big and small canine clients, and all of our dog play areas have specialized rubber flooring that protects our canine clients' joints and paw pads, by reducing injuries by absorbing impact from playing and running, and preventing slipping when wet.
BYU also has indoor doggie "toilets" designed and fabricated, to make play areas more sanitary. We use chemical free cleaners throughout the daycare, anywhere our fur-clients may come in contact with surfaces. These cleaners and disinfectants are made with 100% botanical, and biodegradable ingredients, are safe for pets and for the environment; while killing 99.99% of germs and bacteria in 30 seconds! We also use environmentally friendly cleaners in the rest of our facility.

BYU doesn't just "watch" your beloved canine, we take "care" of them. We ensure low canine to human ratios, we include outside outings free of charge when weather and staffing permits, feed them any food you provide, administer any necessary medication, ensure our staff is trained appropriately, provide constant supervision for our canine clients, and so much more!
BYU is big on fun and learning in a safe environment, and we take the time with every new canine client to complete a safe-to-play assessment with all canines over 6 months, before regular interaction with other canine clients. We do this to ensure the safety and happiness of each and every canine client, and our staff.
We also accept fur-kids as young as 8 weeks with their first round of vaccines! BYU requires up-to-date vaccines (including kennel cough) from all clients. We accept titre testing in place of vaccines. Puppies can attend without Kennel Cough vaccine until they are 12 weeks, and we require all fur-kids be neutered/spayed after 12 months, unless advised by a vet to wait or breeding contract doesn't allow. When a fur-client over 12 months is still intact, our BYU faculty members will determine on a day by day basis if it is still suitable for them to attend. During flea season, all daycare canine clients must be on a vet approved flea prevention plan.
