I have always loved animals and dog in particular. I began training my own dogs and was becoming pretty good at it. I had two dogs that were our world. It was not till my little boy Charlie was hit by a car that I decided that I will take dog training more seriously as a potential career and a way to change the world in a small way. I decided I would open a company in his honor. He was such a well behaved dog that I decided I would name it after him. Being that his nick name was CharBar I decided to go with CharlieBar Boarding and Training. I have big dreams and aspirations and hope to grow this company to the point where I can board 20 dogs at a time. I am not just stopping here I will change the world for the countless dogs that are out there and forgotten, mark my words.
If I was to realize my dream I needed a mentor in order to sharpen my skills. I did my due diligence in finding a trainer that was accomplished and had mastered his craft. My mentor was Shawn Thompson a national champion in the sport of shutz-hund. Not only is he a great trainer, teacher, and leader I also view him as a friend. I will always honor him as the one who helped me reach my own potential.
