Crouse Kennel is a place where champion bird dogs are born, bred and developed.

For more than 45 years Mike Crouse has been breeding and training English Pointer bird dogs. Beginning in the '70s with brother Jim, Mike retired from education to live his ultimate dream. His passion is letting dogs do what they do best--hunt. He has traveled most of the Mid-West, Southeast and some of Canada to train and compete. The future is brighter than ever as Mike is competing on the circuit with strong Derbies and Crouse's Kentucky Wind, a first year All-Age Dog. 2014 holds a promising future for Crouse Kennel with one litter of puppies on the ground and more on the way.

English Pointers are the primary breed raised, but English Setters, English Cockers and American Labs are also raised in Dixon, Kentucky.

Mike and his daughter, Mary Sue Schalk, manage the kennel and welcome visitors with open arms.
