Canine Angels Service Dogs trains rescued dogs for disabled veterans & first responders in the Carolinas. We rescue the dogs. The dogs rescue the veterans.

Our nonprofit rescues dogs from shelters to train as accomplished canine assistants that perform myriad tasks for disabled American veterans and first responders. Our mission is fourfold:

1-Rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters

2-Train these amazing canines to become service dogs and match them with wounded veterans and first responders

3- Educate the public about federal law and the rights of disabled people with service dogs granted by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

4- Share the magic of dogs with our community via our therapy teams. We train and certify our own therapy dogs and their handlers who volunteer to visit people who need cheer, encouragement, and support. This is our gift to the community that graciously supports us.


Canine Angels Service Dogs is a nonprofit dedicated to serving disabled veterans and first responders in the coastal Carolina region. We rescue dogs from shelters and train them to become certified service dogs to assist those to whom we owe our freedom and safety.

Our Angels perform tasks to mitigate physical challenges and ease psychological suffering to help veterans resume meaningful lives. PTSD has taken the lives of twice as many veterans who have returned home than have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.
